About Ferdinand Paillet (1850-1918)
Fernand Paillet was born in 1850 in Niort, France and was a French figurine and miniature artist. He initially trained under Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse before opening his own studio in Paris. His extraordinary talent was in high demand. He worked at Sèvres, on private commissions, and importantly collaborated with both Boucheron and Verger Frères to create small hand painted portraits and vignettes that Boucheron and Verger Frères incorporated into their jewelry and watches.
