A gold and diamond necklace by Van Cleef and Arpels, Paris, France, ca. 1950s
The collar necklace has 16 gold links in the shape of feathers - the centre five are also adorned with round brilliant cut diamonds of very fine quality (D/E color and IF/VVS clarity), weighing approximately 2-3 carats. The necklace is in 18k yellow gold, signed Van Cleef and Arpels, with inventory number, Pery and Fils workshop maker mark, French platinum and gold assay marks.
Each individual feather link is slightly curved and the necklace sits very comfortably and nicely on the neck. The length is approximately 40 cm.
